After a 20 minute frost delay, 17 members teed off on the season’s first day of formal play, that is, when scores were turned in to determine handicaps. Low scores were hard to come by, but Jerry Cameron posted a gross 40 and Rich Wetherbee had the best net, 35. Walter Allen, playing from the blue tees, birdied #7. And, once again, the day ended very pleasantly, with little wind, moderate temperatures, and sunshine.
