Highlights for April 1 (No fooling)
The season has officially begun. Twenty-three golfers turned up for a chilly start including several players new to the league. Welcome!
The big news of the day was Gary Blanchett’s EAGLE on #7. As reported by his playing partners, Dave McDonald and Mark Koepper, Gary hit his drive with a hybrid right down the middle to less than 100 yards from the green. He then hit a high arcing shot that landed right around the front of the green and rolled all the way to the back–and into the hole.
Dave McDonald had the day’s only birdie on #9. Low net was recorded by Dan Willey with a 32, followed by Andy Levine at net 35 and Dick Conant at net 36.
